About the project:
FAUNOS is a European project aimed at combating organised environmental crime by improving prevention, detection and investigation capacities. The project builds upon previous EU-funded research initiatives and advances them towards an operational deployment environment. It integrates technological innovation, regulatory compliance, and end-user training into a coherent implementation framework.
What do we do?
Develops and validates an integrated platform for multimodal data processing (satellite imagery, UAV data, geospatial intelligence and analytical tools).
Transfers validated results from previous EU research projects to an operational environment.
Strengthens operational capacities of competent authorities through structured training.
Supports alignment with European regulatory frameworks on environmental crime, AI governance and data protection.
